Ukraine recovers bodies of another 19 fallen defenders

Another 19 bodies of fallen defenders have been taken back to Ukraine in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention.

Background:

• On 17 August Ukraine recovered 17 more bodies of fallen defenders. 
• In the end of July another 25 bodies of dead defenders were recovered to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
• Oleh Kotenko, Commissioner for Issues of Persons Missing under Special Circumstances, has reported that the bodies of 522 defenders, who were on the list of missing persons, have already been taken back to Ukraine.
