Border guard cynology experts have received protective ammunition for service dogs.
Armoured vests, protective eyewear, ear defenders, dog boots and medicines have been given to the four-legged defenders.
Photos of the dogs sporting their equipment have been published by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
"Ammunition kits: bulletproof vests, protective eyewear and boots, ear defenders, medical kits with medicines were given to the defenders by the volunteer organisation ‘Berezhitsia i @bashte’ [Be safe and attack]," the border guards wrote.
"Now it will be safer for service dogs to perform combat tasks, because equipment like this will not interfere with their movement and will protect our four-legged friends from injuries," said the dog experts.
These four-legged defenders are actively helping the Ukrainians to get closer to victory.
Earlier, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed rescue dog Jack from Mykolaiv. In the Donetsk region, the police rescued a sheepdog named Dar.
Odesa's rescuers also have a small mascot called Mazhor. And National Guard experts have spoken about training their four-legged assistant Rais.
