Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian assaults on several fronts – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled Russian occupying forces on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia and Pivdennyi Buh fronts.

Details: On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces carried out assault operations along the following axes: Pokrovske – Bakhmut, Vidrodzhennia – Vershyna and Vuhlehirska Thermal Power Plant – Zaitseve. They were unsuccessful and were forced to retreat. The Russians fired artillery and tank guns on areas in and around Chasiv Yar, Berestove, Bakhmut and Bakhmutske, Pereizne, Soledar, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Yakovlivka, Vershyna and Zaitseve. They conducted airstrikes near Yakovlivka, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Bakhmut and Soledar.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces carried out assault operations along the Novoselivka Druha – Krasnohorivka and Spartak – Avdiivka axes, but they were unsuccessful and were pushed back by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russians used tubed and rocket artillery to shell areas in the vicinity of Kurakhove, New-York, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Opytne, Marinka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka and Novobakhmutivka. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Marinka. Fighting is currently underway along the Donetsk – Pisky and Novoselivka – Oleksandropil axes.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully repelled a Russian assault along the Storozhove – Novosilka axis on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, and pushed the Russians back. Russian forces, meanwhile, fired rocket and tubed artillery, as well as tank guns, on the areas in and around Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Prechystivka, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Novopil, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Olhivske, Shevchenko, Burlatske, Novosilka, Drozhnianka and Novodanylivka. In addition, they carried out an airstrike in the vicinity of Novosilka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian troops attempted to wage an offensive battle on the Sukhyi Stavok – Lozove axis, but they were unsuccessful and were forced to retreat. They continued to use UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance and used tank guns and artillery to fire on the areas in the vicinity of Posed-Pokrovske, Stepova Dolyna, and 27 other towns and villages. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Osokorivka and Andriivka.

There were no changes on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts, with the exception of Russian shelling of areas near Senkivka and Hremiach in Chernihiv Oblast and Basivka and Kindrativka in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces used tank guns, as well as tubed and rocket artillery, to fire on areas in and around Kharkiv, Udy, Dementiivka, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Velyki Prokhody, Prudianka, Protopopivka, Petrivka, Staryi Saltiv, Verkhnii Saltiv, Mospanove and Korobochkyne. They conducted air strikes near Staryi Saltiv and Mospanove.

Russian forces fired on areas in the vicinity of Dolyna, Brazhivka, Nortsivka, Dibrivne, Mazanivka and Bohorodychne on the Sloviansk front and deployed aircraft near Zalyman.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian troops shelled areas in and around Kramatorsk, Verkhnokamianske and Hryhorivka using tubed and rocket artillery. Moreover, they conducted assault and offensive operations in order to advance on the following two axes: Lysychansk Oil Refinery – Ivano-Darivka and Mykolaivka – Vyimka. Fighting is continuing on the Spirne – Ivano-Darivka axis.

Two Russian naval cruise missile carriers remain on standby in the waters of the Black and Azov seas, meaning that there is still a threat of missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
