Details: On 12 August, the police response teams of the Chernihiv district found an injured woman on the roadside while they were on patrol. She was unable to move on her own, and her clothes were soaked in blood. There was a bicycle nearby.
Policemen called the ambulance right away and gave the woman first aid. They spoke to the woman and found out how she was injured.
The woman ignored a categorical ban on going into the forests in the Chernihiv region and went to collect mushrooms. Some 300m away from where she was found by the police, she had hit a tripwire – an explosive trap laid by the Russian forces while occupying a part of Chernihiv Oblast.
The medical team helped the woman.
An investigative team began work on the site.
The police wish to remind residents of the ban on going into the forests in the Chernihiv region and about the high risk of coming across projectiles and explosive devices.
"If you detect any suspicious objects, weapons, ammunition or explosive devices,do not approach them under any circumstances. Inform the police or rescue workers of your discovery right away", the police have told the public.
