Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near Bakhmut and Marinka, fighting continues near Kodema and Pisky – General Staff report

Russian occupying forces conducted offensive actions on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, but failed and were forced to retreat. However, the fighting continues near Kodema and Pisky.

Details: On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces used tank guns and artillery to fire on the areas in the vicinity of Pereizne, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Vershyna and Kurdiumivka and conducted airstrikes near Vyimka, Ivano-Darivka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Soledar and Bakhmutske.
Russian forces had some success following an offensive on the Horlivka – Zaitseve axis.
However, Russian attempts to advance on Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna and Kodema were unsuccessful and the Russians were forced to retreat in those areas. Having regrouped, the Russians resumed an offensive on Kodema, where fighting is continuing.
The Russian forces used artillery to shell several towns and villages on the Avdiivka front, including Vodiane, Oleksandropol, Avdiivka and Pisky. Russian aircraft carried out airstrikes near Marinka and Vodiane.
The Russians attempted to conduct an offensive on Spartak and Marinka, but they failed and retreated. Fighting is currently underway near the village of Pisky.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts, though the Russians are continuing to carry out operations to demonstrate their presence and therefore pin down Ukrainian units in the area. The General Staff reports that Russian forces are taking additional measures to reinforce the security of the Russian-Ukrainian border in Bryansk Oblast (Russia).
On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces shelled the areas in and around Lebiazhe, Sosnivka, Ukrainka, Dementiivka, Pytomnyk, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Shevelivka, Protopopivka, Verkhnii Saltiv, Tsyrkuny, Stara Hnylytsia, Husarivka and Korobochkyne using tubed and rocket artillery. They also conducted airstrikes near Rtyshchivka and Verkhnii Saltiv.
On the Sloviansk front, Russian forces fired on the areas around Virnopillia, Bohorodychne, Shnurky, Kurulka, Krasnopillia, Dolyna and Zalyman, where Russians also carried out an airstrike. Russian troops are replenishing their personnel and equipment losses.
On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces shelled the areas in and around Siversk, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka and Verkhnokamianske using tubed and rocket artillery.
Russian assault on Verkhnokamianske and Ivano-Darivka was unsuccessful and the Russians were forced to retreat.
On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, the Russians fired on the areas in and around Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Volodymyrivka, Bohoiavlenka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novopil, Novosilka and Zaliznychne and conducted airstrikes near Vuhledar, Mali Shcherbaky and Novomykhailivka.
In order to pin down Ukrainian forces on the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces fired on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, as well as civilian infrastructure facilities, in and around Ukrainka, Posad-Pokrovske, Lupareve, Stepova Dolyna, Novohryhorivka, Veselyi Kut, Shyroke, Kobzartsi, Kavkaz, Bila Krynytsia, Lepetykha, Topolyne, Ivanivka, Potomkyne and Trudoliubivka.
Russian aircraft carried out strikes near Osokorivka, Andriivka, Blahodatne, Novohryhorivka and Myrne and used UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance in the area.
Russian ships are focusing their efforts on conducting reconnaissance, blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and striking military targets and infrastructure across the territory of Ukraine.
Two Russian warships carrying cruise missiles are on standby in the Black Sea.
The General Staff concludes that "The Ukrainian defenders are inflicting losses on the Russian occupiers on all fronts where active fighting is currently underway."
