Russia launches rockets on Kharkiv from Belgorod (Russia): Damage and destruction

Russian forces carried out another attack on the city of Kharkiv on the night of 11-12 August.

Details: Terekhov has said that early reports indicate there were a total of five explosions.

The Slobidskyi, Kyivskyi and Novobavarskyi neighbourhoods of Kharkiv have been hit.

Oleh Syniehubov has said that the Russians launched rockets on Kharkiv from the city of Belgorod, in Russia.

Around 03:00, Russian forces launched four rockets at once. Two rockets (early reports indicate they might be S-300 missiles) hit an educational facility in the Slobidskyi neighbourhood, damaging a canteen and vegetable storerooms.

Another rocket hit the road near an administrative building in the Novobavarskyi neighbourhood. Shrapnel from this rocket damaged the building’s facade.

Another rocket struck the Kyivskyi neighbourhood.

Early reports indicate there are no casualties.

In addition, Russian forces hit the village of Tsyrkuny and the area between Tsyrkuny and Cherkaski Tyshky (in the Kharkiv district) on the night of 11 August. The consequences of the attack are being investigated.

Over the course of 11 August, the Russians fired on the Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Izium and Lozova districts of Kharkiv Oblast, injuring two civilians in Tsyrkuny and one in the Derhachi hromada (amalgamated territorial community). A tractor driver was blown up on a mine in Kupiansk district. A man was injured and a woman was killed in the Zolochiv hromada.
