Maxar publishes new satellite images of airbase in Crimea after explosions

Maxar Technologies has published new satellite images of the military airbase in Novofedorivka in Crimea, taken on 10 August.

Details: In infrared photos, burned vegetation is shown in black or grey, and unburned vegetation is shown in red or pink.
Quote from Reuters: "Pictures from independent satellite firm Planet Labs showed three near-identical craters where buildings at Russia's Saki air base had been struck with apparent precision. The base, on the southwest coast of Crimea, suffered extensive fire damage with the burnt-out husks of at least eight destroyed warplanes clearly visible."

- On 9 August, explosions occurred at the military airbase near Novofedorivka, in the Saky district of Russian-occupied Crimea.
- The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine stated that it could not determine the cause of the fire in Novofedorivka.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that, on 9 August, Russia lost nine combat aircraft on the Saky airbase in Russian-occupied Crimea. Mass media published the first satellite images of the airbase.
