Ending the active phase of the war is vital before onset of winter — Office of the President

Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that it is vital for Ukraine to end the active phase of the war before the onset of winter, as there is a risk of Russian attacks on the thermal energy infrastructure.

Quote: "Of course, such risks (of attacks on thermal power plants – ed.) are present throughout the war. The Russian army continues to target our infrastructure. This is one of their goals, they don't even try to hide it. So this is one of the reasons why we want to take every possible measure to end the active phase of the war by the end of autumn."
Details: Yermak added that this is a difficult and ambitious task, but a vital one.
According to Yermak, Ukraine is doing everything possible to achieve the goals of liberating the occupied territories and informing its partners about its progress. The longer the Russian military stays on the territory of Ukraine and tries to "dig in", the more difficult it will be to liberate these territories.
