Details: Haidai said that over the past day [Tuesday 9 August - ed.], the Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralised several Russian reconnaissance groups. Russian assault attempts failed on three fronts. The Ukrainian army forced the Russians to retreat.
In addition, Russian assault and army aircraft made nine sorties in Luhansk Oblast throughout the day on 9 August.
On the night of 9 August, the Russians launched five rockets, conducted eight artillery attacks and three mortar attacks, and used tanks to carry out another three attacks.
Quote from Haidai: "The Russians cannot boast of the success they promised to achieve at the front. For over a month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have prevented the enemy from advancing further into Donetsk Oblast. Without a doubt, it is not easy for our soldiers to withstand round-the-clock artillery attacks and numerous assaults, but they continue to hold the line."
