Ukraine receives additional American HIMARS – Minister of Defence

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, has said that Ukraine received four additional HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) from the US.

Background:

• The White House earlier announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, including additional HIMARS, which "the Ukrainians have used very effectively to change the course of hostilities [to their advantage]".
• On Monday, 1 August, Ukraine also received German long-range MARS II MLRSs (multiple-launch rocket systems).
