Russians kill 5 civilians during shelling of Bakhmut and Siversk

Russian armed forces killed 5 civilians and seriously injured a child during the shelling of Bakhmut and Siversk on 7-8 July.

Details: On 7-8 July, the Russian army bombarded Siversk and Bakhmut with heavy fire.

Five civilians died in a hospital intensive care unit after the shelling.

Three people, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured by the Russians’ shells. He is currently in the hospital in an extremely serious condition.

Civilians' homes and cars in the cities have been damaged.

The Donetsk regional prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the shelling in 2 criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code (violation of laws and customs of war).

Primary investigative actions are currently being conducted to find out all the circumstances of the crime.
