Quote: "For the first 48 days, I was at the police station in Vasyliv [Ukraine], held in solitary confinement in a pre-trial detention centre. You know what solitary confinement is. It means you have no opportunity to go out to get fresh air, no opportunity to talk.

I had a phone connection once every ten days. I could go outside for 15-20 minutes a day at most. For the first two weeks, I couldn't wash, and I was able to wash only after three weeks. The toilet in my cell did not work. I had to use an iron bowl to collect water from the tap and rinse.

My tasks included cleaning the premises as well as the premises where interrogations were conducted."

Details: According to him, the occupiers "interrogated" both civilians and soldiers: "Other prisoners were subjected to torture. Beatings, electric shocks, etc."

They were trying to find out where the weapons, grenade launchers, and ammunition were: "Inhumane interrogation methods were used. I saw and heard it perfectly."

Criminal proceedings have been opened in Ukraine for the kidnapping of a minor boy.

Background: In April, Oleg Buryak stated that his son had been abducted at the Russian checkpoint in Vasylivka while the evacuation convoy was going from Melitopol to Zaporizhzhya.

On July 7, the son of Oleg Buryak, the head of the Zaporizhzhya District State Administration, was freed from Russian captivity.
