Quote from the prosecutor general: "The day before, Oleksii Kovalov, member of Parliament, received a notice from my office that he is under suspicion. At the beginning of the occupation, he went to the Kherson region allegedly to work with voters and protect his business from looters, which he cannot do during his parliamentary activities. There is evidence that the parliamentarian organised the export of salt and grain to the Russian Federation."
Details: Venediktova recalled that Kovalev "enthusiastically" wrote on social media about "plans for full-scale integration of farmers of the Kherson region into the economic model of the Russian Federation and insisted that "Russia is forever"."
The invaders appointed the MP to the pseudo-post of "deputy head of the Government of the Kherson region".
