The Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed the Russian forces’ offensive on the Bakhmut front - the General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attempts to advance in the directions of Myronivka – Luhanske and Holmivskyi – Novoluhanske and forced the Russian occupying forces to retreat.

Details: Russian occupying forces are trying to improve their tactical positions on the Sloviansk front in order to create favourable conditions for an offensive in the direction of Izium – Sloviansk.

Russian forces fired on the areas of Dibrivne, Krasnopillia, Husarivka, Barvinkove, Karnaukhivka and Velyka Komyshuvakha using tube artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS). The Russians attempted to advance in the direction of Dovhenke – Mazanivka, but were repelled by Ukrainian soldiers. They suffered losses and retreated.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian occupying forces are trying to capture the villages of Verkhnokamianske and Hryhorivka and have deployed electronic warfare systems. They fired on the areas of Sloviansk and Verkhnokamianske using tube and rocket artillery and conducted airstrikes near Tetianivka and Sydorove.

On the Bakhmut front, Russia is trying to improve the tactical positions of its troops and to establish complete control over the main road between Bakhmut and Lysychansk. Russian forces used artillery to fire on the areas around Spirne, Vyimka and Vesele. 

The General Staff reports that Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian attempts to advance in the directions of Myronivka – Luhanske and Holmivskyi – Novoluhanske and forced the Russian occupying forces to retreat.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian occupying forces fired on the positions of Ukrainian units using tanks, mortars, and tube and rocket artillery in order to pin the Ukrainian troops down. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near Marinka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian troops are focused on maintaining their previously occupied positions and used artillery to fire on Ukrainian troops in the areas around Oleksandrivka, Ukrainka, Luch, Mykolaivske, Zoria, Poliana and Bila Krynytsia. 

The General Staff reports that four Russian naval high-precision missile carriers are on standby in the Black Sea waters.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, units of the Belarusian Armed Forces continued to perform military operations in order to ensure the security of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in Brest and Gomel oblasts of Belarus. They also continued to perform combat engineering tasks in order to reinforce their positions, inspected checkpoints and conducted radio-electronic reconnaissance.

There are no significant changes on the Sivershchyna front. Russian occupying forces used UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance in order to establish the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area.

Russia continues to deploy a grouping of troops from the Western Military District on the Kharkiv front. The Russian forces there used artillery to fire on the areas around Sosnivka, Dementiivka, Nove, Pytomnyk, Tsyrkuny, Petrivka and Mospanove and conducted an airstrike near Rubizhne.

Ukrainian soldiers have successfully repelled Russian assaults in the direction of Kozacha Lopan – Sosnivka.
