Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian assault on Sloviansk front, pushing Russians back – General Staff report

Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a Russian assault in the direction of the village of Dolyna on the Sloviansk front, pushing the Russians back.

Details: There is on evidence that Belarusian Armed Forces are forming an assault group on the Sivershchyna front. Russian forces used mortars to fire on the areas around Mkhy and Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv Oblast and Shalyhyne in Sumy Oblast. A Russian Mi-24 helicopter conducted an airstrike on a school in Esman in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kharkiv front, Russia’s main efforts are focused on maintaining its current positions and preventing the Ukrainian troops in the area from advancing. Russian forces used artillery, tanks, and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to fire on the areas around Kutuzivka, Nova, Ruski Tyshky, Mala Danylivka, and Dementiivka. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike on the city of Kharkiv. 

On the Sloviansk front, Russian occupying forces used artillery to fire on the areas in the vicinity of Krasnopillia, Pervomaiske, Nova Mykolaivka, Bohorodychne, Adamivka, Dolyna, Mazanka, Dibrivne, Chepil and Mospanove. Ukrainian troops have successfully repelled a Russian assault in the direction of the village of Dolyna, pushing the Russians back.

On the Donetsk front, Russian forces are focusing their main efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Luhansk Oblast bound by its administrative borders. They are also undertaking measures to restore transport infrastructure in the rear.

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russian occupation army used tubed artillery to fire on the areas around Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske and conducted a rocket and air strike near Sloviansk and Zvanivka.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces are storming in the direction of Novoluhanske. Fighting continues.

Russian forces used tubed artillery to fire on the areas around Kodema, Novoluhanske, Pokrovske, Berestove, Spirne, and Ivan-Dariivka and conducted rocket and air strikes near Soledar, Spirne, Pokrovske, and Shumy.

Russian occupying forces renewed an assault in the direction of Spirne with the support of artillery and aircraft and so far have been partially successful, though fighting continues.

Russian troops are firing on the units of Ukrainian troops along the entire line of contact on the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia fronts using artillery of various calibres. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike on Avdiivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russia’s main efforts are focused on preventing Ukrainian Defence Forces from advancing. Russian forces used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas around Lupareve, Myrne, Shevchenkove, Chervona Dolyna, Kobzartsi, Partyzanske, Bereznehuvate, Topolyne, Ivanivka, Potiomkyne, Kniazivka, Dobrianka, Trudoliubivka and Osokorivka. Two Russian Ka-52 helicopters conducted airstrikes near Zarichne and Olhyne.

Ukrainian aircraft and rocket artillery units continued to hit Russian depots and groupings of Russian personnel and equipment, in particular in Kherson Oblast.

"The Russian occupiers are demoralised and are searching for any opportunity to sustain minor injuries, resorting even to inflicting self-harm and feigning ill health – all in order to be sent back to the Russian Federation," the General Staff reported.
