"Bayraktar ‘Vanagas’ (Lithuanian - ‘Hawk’) with all purchased combat equipment is already in Lithuania! On 6 July, its presentation will take place at the air force base in Šiauliai, and after that it will go to Ukraine," Anusauskas on his Twitter .

By way of reminder, on 25 May, journalist Andrius Tapinas started a fund-raising campaign for Bayraktar for Ukraine, saying that he had received consent for such a potential purchase from the Defence Ministries of Lithuania and Turkey and the manufacturer.

On the second day, the collected amount already crossed the mark of three million. Ex-president Dalia Grybauskaite joined the campaign; the current president Gitanas Nauseda, the Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte and the Defence Minister of Lithuania Arvydas Anusauskas on their pages in social networks also called on everyone who cares to join.

The fund-raising was closed in three days. After that, the Turkish manufacturing company said that it was touched by the solidarity of Lithuanians and therefore decided to donate the drone, and the collected money could be directed to other needs of Ukraine.

Inspired by the example of Tapinas, the Serhiy Prytula Foundation organised a fundraiser for three Bayraktars in Ukraine, which was closed in three days, having collected money for almost four drones. The company Baykar has announced this time that it will hand over three drones free of charge.

Currently, the fund-raising for Bayraktar for Ukraine is going on in Poland, it was initiated by journalist Slavomir Sierakovskyy.

Natalia Panchenko, leader and initiative of the Euromaidan-Warsaw and laureate of the Activist of the Year award in Poland, told in an interview with "European Pravda" about how Poles help Ukraine, and how Ukrainian women and men in Poland fight against the aggressor.
