In the fight for Lysychansk, Russian troops outnumbered the Ukrainian troops by around ten-to-one. The Russians are currently consolidating their positions in the city.

Quote: "To the very last day of the defence of Lysychansk, our medics continued to hospitalise the injured, our firefighters conducted rescue operations, and police officers recorded instances of crimes, all under intense fire. They remained at their posts, even when it seemed like an impossible endeavour. The Russians outnumbered us 10 to one…
The Russian army gathered forces from across all fronts and deployed them all in Lysychansk. The skillfulness of Ukrainian soldiers outweighed their numerical superiority. But we failed to receive the necessary supplies of long-range weapons."
Details: Haidai said that many of the civilians who sustained injuries in Lysychansk were hospitalised in Dnipro, Lviv or Ivano-Frankivsk. Around 50 residents of Lysychansk who sustained severe wounds were taken to various hospitals in Donetsk Oblast, where it is also currently dangerous.
Haidai noted that Russian forces were able to force their way across the Siverskyi Donets river in order to be able to capture Bilohorivka in the fifth month of the war. The village of Zolotarivka is already under Russian control.
