Quote: "On the Bakhmut front, the enemy used every type of weapon at their disposal to fire on our [i.e., Ukrainian - ed.] troops along the entire line of contact, in particular in the areas around the towns and villages of Berestove, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Kodema, Travneve, Zaitseve and Niu-York. [Russian aircraft] conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Yakovlivka and Zaitseve. [Russian forces] conducted assault operations on the Pylypchatyne – Pokrovske and Dolomitne – Travneve axes but were unsuccessful and retreated.

[Russian] attempts to establish control over Semyhiria by launching assault from three directions have partially succeeded and [the Russians] are consolidating their positions on the outskirts of the town."

Details: Russia’s main efforts on the Donetsk front are focused on attacks on Ukrainian military targets and infrastructure facilities. Russian troops are attempting to create favourable conditions to mount an offensive on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts in order to improve their tactical positions.

The Russians are systematically firing on the positions of Ukrainian troops along the line of contact in order to prevent Ukrainian reserve forces from being transferred to other fronts. Russian aircraft systematically carry out firing missions to support the ground operations of Russian forces.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian forces fired artillery on the areas around Dolyna, Krasnopillia and Mazanivka. They attempted to conduct an assault operation near Brazhivka but were unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces shelled the areas around Kramatorsk, Verkhnokamianske, Ivano-Darivka and Pereizne using artillery and conducted an airstrike near Ivano-Darivka.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian occupying forces used tanks, tubed artillery, and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to fire on Ukrainian positions along the line of contact – in particular, in the areas around Novobakhmutivka, Yasnobrodivka, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Krasnohorivka. The Russians also conducted an airstrike near Avdiivka.

In an attempt to improve their tactical positions, Russian troops conducted assault operations on the Novoselivka Druha – Krasnohorivka and the Spartak – Avdiivka axes, but were unsuccessful and retreated. In addition, the Russians used UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance of the Ukrainian forces’ positions in the area.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russian forces shelled the areas in the vicinity of Novosilka, Marinka, Mykilske, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Velyka Novosilka and conducted an airstrike near Marinka. Russian assault operations on the Yehorivka – Pavlivka axis were unsuccessful and the Russians retreated. Russia did not undertake active combat operations on the Zaporizhzhia front, though Russian forces continued to fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops using tubed artillery, MLRS and tanks in the areas around Zaliznychne, Novomykhailivka, Bilohiria and Novoandriivka and conducted aerial reconnaissance of Ukrainian positions in the area using UAVs.

Likewise, Russian forces conducted aerial reconnaissance on the Pivdennyi Buh front, where they also shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas around Trudoliubivka, Potomkyne, Kamiane, Karierne, Novohryhorivka, Velyke Artakove, Lozove, Kobzartsi, Shyroke, Kyselivka, Zoria, Posad-Pokrovske, Stepova Dolyna, Tavriiske, Mykolaiv and Solonchaky using tubed and rocket artillery.

Russian forces attempted to create favourable conditions to mount an assault on the Bruskinske – Bilohorivka axis but retreated following the firing response of Ukrainian troops.

Russian ships in the waters of the Black and Azov seas continue to blockade civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and to fire on military targets and infrastructure across the territory of Ukraine.

Two Russian high-precision naval missile carriers are on standby in the waters of the Black and Azov seas.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts. On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces are continuing to carry out combat engineering tasks in order to reinforce their positions in the areas near the Russian-Ukrainian border and to conduct aerial reconnaissance using UAVs.

Russian occupying forces fired on the positions of Ukrainian forces, as well as civilian targets, on the Kharkiv front using tanks and tubed and rocket artillery. In particular, the Russians shelled the areas in and around Kharkiv, Svitlychne, Ruski Tyshky, Duvanka, Pishchane, Verkhnii Saltiv, Korobochkyne, Lebiazhe, Petrivske, Nortsivka and Zalyman, and conducted an airstrike near Mospanove.

The General Staff has reported that overall, the number of Russian troops, as well as the general pattern of their military activity, remain similar to those of recent days.
