Russian forces shell Mykolaiv Oblast: 1 civilian killed, damage to residential buildings

On 2 July, Russian troops shelled the Bashtanka and Mykolaiv districts in Mykolaiv Oblast, killing one person. On the morning of 3 July, the Russian forces hit the town of Pervomaiske, where a residential building and several garages caught on fire.

Details: On 2 July, the Inhul hromada [amalgamated territorial community - ed.] came under Russian fire. The Russians hit the village of Novooleksandrivka and its outskirts, causing dry grass to catch fire in an open area. There are no casualties.

The Russian occupying forces also attacked the village of Lepetykha in the Bereznehuvate hromada [amalgamated territorial community - ed.], as well as other villages situated along the demarcation line in the Bereznehuvate hromada. Information regarding casualties and structural damage is being confirmed.

On 2 July, the Russian forces also shelled the Shevchenkove hromada [amalgamated territorial community - ed.] in the Mykolaiv district. As a result, one civilian was killed in the village of Luch. A private enterprise in the village of Shevchenkove sustained some damage. Civilian garages and houses were damaged in the village of Kotliareve. In the village of Zasillia, a residential building and an outbuilding were destroyed. Dry grass caught fire in the village of Stara Bohdanivka.

In addition, the Russian forces shelled the village of Halytsynivka (the effects of the shelling are being confirmed) and the urban-type village of Pervomaiske (damaging social infrastructure and a four-storey building that was still under construction, and causing fires to break out in a sports centre attached to the local community centre, a school canteen and an outbuilding on the territory of a private house).
