False Flag Operation – Office of the President comments on the Russian attack on penal colony
UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – FRIDAY, 29 JULY 2022, 14:39
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, called the shelling of the penal colony in Olenivka, Donetsk Oblast, a false flag operation and a carefully planned information campaign by the Russians.
Source: Podoliak on Telegram
Quote: "The scale and speed of the Russian propagandists’ information campaign indicate that this was precisely a premeditated and deliberate action. We know that some of the captured [Ukrainian] defenders had been transferred a few days before the crime to these very barracks that were hit. Classic, cynical, a well-thought-out false flag operation."
Details: He asserts that the Russians are attempting to cover up the evidence of the extent of Russian war crimes and torture in the penal colony, as well as disrupt prisoner exchange agreements and discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their use of specific models of foreign missiles.
Podoliak added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have no operational goals in Olenivka, and the incident would be investigated by the Prosecutor General's Office and international investigative teams.
Quote: "We also demand an immediate tough reaction from the UN and other international organisations – Russia should be excluded from all international institutions."
