Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian assault on Avdiivka front – General Staff report

Russian forces attempted to mount an offensive on Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Velyka Novosilka, but suffered losses and retreated.

Details: On the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian forces shelled Ukrainian positions along the contact line and conducted an airstrike near Novoandriivka.

A Russian attempt to conduct reconnaissance-in-force near Vodiane and Pisky was unsuccessful; the Russians were forced to retreat.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts. On the Sivershchyna front, the Russians fired tubed and rocket artillery on the areas around Pisky (Chernihiv Oblast) and Zhuravka (Sumy Oblast). Russian troops are continuing to perform combat engineering tasks to reinforce their positions.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces fired artillery on the areas around Kharkiv, Ridne, Udy, Dementiivka, Slatyne, Protopopivka, Nove, Zolochiv, Prudianka, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Petrivka, Bezruky, Borshchova, Staryi Saltiv and Korobochkyne. Two Russian Mi-8 helicopters conducted airstrikes near Staryi Saltiv.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian occupying forces shelled Kurulka, Dibrivne, Nortsivka, Mazanivka, Lozova, Shnurky, Husarivka, Hrushuvakha, Virnopillia and Mospanove.

Russian forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Kramatorsk front, though they fired on the areas around Siversk, Ivano-Darivka, Spirne, Kryva Luka, Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Zvanivka and Verkhnokamianske using tubed and rocket artillery, and tanks, and conducted airstrikes near Serebrianka and Spirne.

On the Bakhmut front, Russians shelled the areas in the vicinity of Shumy, Bakhmutske, Berestove, Pokrovske, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Travneve, Zaitseve and Vershyna and conducted airstrikes near Soledar and Vesela Dolyna.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the assault operations Russian troops conducted in order to advance on Vershyna and Semyhiria. The Russians continue to mount an offensive in the area around Novoluhanske and Soledar; fighting is currently underway there.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian occupying forces used tanks – as well as tubed and rocket artillery – to fire on the areas around Ivanivka, Tokarieve, Karierne, Osokorivka, Blahodatne, Kobzartsi, Chervona Dolyna, Lepetykha, Andriivka, Velyke Artakove, Veselyi Kut, Partyzanske, Shevchenkove, Myrne, Shyroke, Prybuzke, Luch, Posad-Pokrovske, Liubomyrivka, Stepova Dolyna, Tavriiske and Oleksandrivka. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Velyka Artakove, Bilohirka and Potomkine.

Three Russian naval missile carriers (equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles) remain on standby in the waters of the Black Sea.
