Prices double in Kherson after Antonivka bridge closes – mass media

Residents of Kherson are stocking up on produce as market prices in the city have doubled since the Antonivka bridge had been closed.

Details: According to journalists, people are trying to buy everything and stock up on produce as soon as possible.

Background: 

• The strategically important Antonivka Bridge in Kherson was shelled on 19 July and 20 July.
• A third strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was conducted on the bridge in the evening of 26 July.
• The occupiers said that the Antonivka bridge was damaged after a night attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was closed.
• The Kherson Oblast State Administration confirmed that it is impossible to move across the bridge after the last strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
