President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the Russian Federation has failed to inform its citizens about the death toll among the Russian armed forces. He urged Ukrainian citizens to convey to the Russians that almost 40,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion.

Everyone who is still in contact with someone in Russia, or has any way of passing on information to Russian society must convey this simple fact to everyone they can reach."
