Kim comments on the attack on the south of Ukraine: Russians have launched 18 missiles; military action is intensifying

In the morning of 26 July, Russian military forces launched 18 missiles on the south of Ukraine. Some of them were intercepted by the Ukrainian aerial defence, others have damaged an enterprise, an infrastructure target and a bridge in Mykolaiv Oblast.

Quote: "This morning, Russians launched six X-59 and twelve S-300 missiles on us. Not all of them hit their target – some of them did, while others missed.

Some of them hit critical infrastructure and enterprises. They destroyed three sections of the railway bridge that were not in use. It was very loud here, but luckily there were no victims".

Details: Kim specified that the Russians forces launched a massive attack on the whole south of Ukraine, and in particular on Odesa Oblast, the town of Yuzhne (in the Odesa district of Odesa Oblast), the village of Rybakivka (in the Berezanka district of Mykolaiv Oblast).

Kim stated that "military action is intensifying, a lot of aviation is involved on both sides", and since the Armed Forces of Ukraine are destroying the occupiers’ command posts and ammunition stores, the latter are becoming more active as well.

Kim also stated that the authorities will deal with diversionists and artillery forward observers after the active harvesting period is over, to avoid disrupting the farmers’ work.

Background:

•       On 26 July, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on the south of Ukraine from the Black Sea using aviation. Odesa and Mykolaiv Oblasts, in particular, were hit.
•       As a result of the attack, critical infrastructure targets - a motor transport company and a building of one of the city’s boiler houses - have been damaged in Mykolaiv. In addition, there was an attempt to attack the city’s port infrastructure.
•       The occupiers have also launched attacks on the Mykolaiv district using multiple rocket launchers.
