Details: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have been blocked since 23 June in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast that lies outside Kyiv’s control, and the operation of Google has been slowed down.
The invaders allege that these resources are blocking "reliable information and the resumption of [normal] life in the region", as well as "inciting violence".
The occupation authorities are also set to block Google if they "do not come to their senses" and "continue to pursue a policy of spreading disinformation, promoting violence, and dehumanising residents of the liberated territory".
Reminder: Google was recently blocked in the "Donetsk People’s Republic", and the same decision had previously been made by the invaders in Luhansk Oblast.
