Zelensky assembles Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief: there is potential for advancing our forces

During a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, those present discussed the current situation on the front and set objectives for some tactical options.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Today [Thursday, 21 July - ed.], I held a regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief - this working format brings together the key leaders of the defence and security sectors…

We discussed the current situation on the front line, around Ukraine. We identified tasks in some tactical areas to strengthen our positions. And we also thoroughly worked out the issue of providing the troops with modern weapons - the intensity of attacks on the enemy still need to be increased.

The participants in the Staff meeting agreed that we have significant potential for the advance of our forces on the front and for inflicting significant new losses on the occupiers."

Details: Zelenskyy also said that during the meeting they heard reports from Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence; Oleksandr Lytvynenko, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service; Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defence; and Denys Monastyrsky, Minister of Internal Affairs.

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of the Ground Forces, joined the meeting from the front line.
