Russian occupiers raise the destroyed ship Saratov with the idea of repairing it
Russian occupiers raised the large landing assault ship Saratov which was sunk in March in the port of Berdiansk after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian Federation plans to send it to the occupied Crimea for repairs.

Details: As Rohov reported, on 1 July, the large landing assault ship Saratov, which was sunk in March by its crew in the port of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast, after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was raised in order to avoid the detonation of ammunition.
In turn, Oleksandr Saulenko reported that Saratov is scheduled to be sent to Kerch for repairs.
Background:
- On 24 March, in the port of Berdiansk captured by the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the large landing ship Saratov from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. The fire spread to other ships, fuel and ammunition.
- The commanders of two damaged landing ships in Berdiansk turned out to be traitors to Ukraine, who sided with the occupiers in 2014.
- The American company Maxar Technologies showed satellite images of the destroyed Saratov.
