The city of Bucha in Kyiv Oblast has suffered UAH 5.1 billion (approximately US$191 million) worth of damage to its infrastructure as a result of the Russian occupiers’ actions; housing stock is the worst affected.
This is stated in a report by the KSE Institute [part of the Kyiv School of Economics], based on the results of an assessment within the framework of Rebuildua, a joint project with SmartFarming and Vkursi Zemli.

Damage caused to housing stock accounts for UAH 2.4 billion, almost half of the total figure for damage to infrastructure of UAH 5.08 billion. UAH 1.6 billion is due to the destruction of apartment buildings, and almost UAH 679 million to that of private houses.
In total, 861 private houses, 122 apartment buildings and 875 commercial buildings were destroyed or damaged in Bucha. The total area of affected residential buildings is more than 1 million sq. m.
Damage caused to the city's social infrastructure amounts to more than UAH 2 billion. The largest losses within this amount were caused to commercial facilities (UAH 1.8 billion) and educational facilities (UAH 152,4 million).
The city lost more than UAH 290 million due to the destruction of industrial infrastructure facilities in Bucha. Another UAH 487.9 million worth of damage was caused to Bucha as a result of damage to the infrastructure of the energy industry and utilities.
