Details: The Security Service of Ukraine detained a man in March of this year on suspicion of collaborating with the Russian special services to conduct sabotage.

Quote of the Attorney General’s Office: "With the beginning of the active offensive of the Russian troops, the accused agreed to prepare several fake publications in the media replicating calls for the expulsion of nationalist groups to save large cities, as well as criticism of those who, fleeing the war, evacuate their families to other regions of Ukraine or abroad.

In addition, he was supposed to spread the opinion that the allegedly destructive actions of the Ukrainian authorities lead to looting and the death of military personnel."

Details: The prosecutor proved that for his activities, the man regularly received money that went into the bank account of his cohabitant, who was also convicted. The saboteur's "handlers" were undercover employees of the Russian FSB. In particular, law enforcement officers exposed the entire chain of coordinators and managers.

The man was convicted under Part 5 of Article 27 and Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (complicity in actions committed to seizing state power). The penalty is 7 years in prison.
