4 children have been injured as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours – Office of the Prosecutor’s General

On 17 July, a 16-year-old boy was wounded as a result of shelling by the occupiers of the village of Novyi Donbas, Pokrovsky District, Donetsk Oblast. The number of injured children has therefore increased to 666 as a result of Russian aggression; the number of fatalities has not changed – 353 children have been killed as a result of the war.

Details: Also on 17 July, the occupiers once again shelled the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region. Three children, aged 2, 3 and 9, received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
The most children have been affected in Donetsk Oblast – 373, Kharkiv Oblast – 191, Kyiv Oblast – 116, Chernihiv Oblast – 68, Luhansk Oblast – 61, Mykolaiv Oblast – 53, Kherson Oblast – 52, Zaporizhzhia Oblast – 31.
More than 1,019 children in total have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression.
2,138 educational institutions have been damaged due to bombing and shelling by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. 221 were completely destroyed.
