Quote: "Two villages in Luhansk Oblast remain under the control of the Ukrainian government.
This is what keeps bothering the Russians, who have been ordered to capture all of Luhansk Oblast, all the way to its administrative border. They have reported, multiple times, that they had completed their combat mission – they may even have received awards for it – but still they can’t establish control over the last few remaining kilometres.
The occupiers have already captured one of these villages several times, but each time our troops have pushed the enemy back to their earlier positions. However, the enemy doesn’t give up: they come back to suffer more losses again and again."
Details: Haidai said that on 16 July, Russian forces attempted to advance in the direction of Verkhnokamianka, but were repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and retreated with losses.
On Saturday, 16 July, the Russians conducted two airstrikes on Luhansk Oblast, launching four missiles on its towns and villages from their aircraft.
Three mass artillery shellings and four mortar strikes also took place on the territory of Luhansk Oblast.
