Three people rescued from rubble in Vinnytsia, work is complete – State Emergency Service of Ukraine

Workers from the State Emergency Service have rescued 3 people from the rubble at the site of the missile attack in Vinnytsia; the fate of one more person is unknown. A total of 24 people died in the attack.

Details: On Saturday, rescue workers finished sorting through the rubble at the site of the missile attack which occurred in Vinnytsia on 14 July.
On Saturday, 3 people were rescued by units of the State Emergency Service. One person remains missing.
Kozak also said that a total of 24 people, including 3 children, have been confirmed dead.
202 people sought medical assistance. 68 of them were hospitalised, including 4 children, and 110 were given outpatient care.
A total of 55 multi-apartment and private residential buildings, 40 cars and 2 trams were damaged or destroyed as a result of the attack.
Previously: On Saturday morning, Serhii Borzov, the head of the Vinnytsia Oblast Military Administration, announced that one of the victims had died in hospital, bringing the death toll to 24.
According to Borzov’s data, 4 people were still missing at that time.
Background:
- On the morning of 14 July, the Russians hit the centre of Vinnytsia with missiles, causing fires to break out. According to various sources, there were between 2 and 4 explosions. Serhii Borzov, the head of Vinnytsia Oblast, said 4 more missiles were shot down by air defence forces over the oblast.
- The President's Office reported that the Russians carried out the attack on Vinnytsia with Kalibr missiles which were fired from a submarine in the Black Sea.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack a terrorist act.
- Russian representatives have changed their story three times with regard to the consequences of their attack on the Officers’ House in Vinnytsia.
