Two civilians have been blown up by landmines in the Sumy region

On Friday, 15 July, a car with two civilians was blown up by a mine in Sumy region; one man died, the other was hospitalised.

Quote from Zhyvytskyi: "This morning, a car with two civilians was blown up by a mine between the villages of Basivka and Yunakivka.
One man died on the spot, the other is in the hospital with serious injuries, fractures and burns."
Details: According to Zhyvytskyi, the reasons why the men decided to turn from the road where it was alowed to drive and drove to a prohibited road marked "mines" are now being investigated.
He added that most of the territory of Sumy region has currently been surveyed and demined by the bomb squads of the State Emergency Service and the National police.
