Grain exports are 40% behind last year's schedule

Grain exports from the beginning of the 2022-2023 marketing year (July 2022 – June 2023) as of 13 July amounted to 556,000 tonnes compared to the 926,000 tonnes as of the corresponding date of the last marketing year.

Exports of major cereals decreased. In particular:
Corn – by 17.4%, to 403,000 tonnes
Wheat – 2.2 times, up to 113,000 tonnes
Barley – 4.9 times, up to 37,000 tonnes
In addition, only 1,300 tonnes of flour was exported compared to 5,900 tonnes a year earlier – wheat, only 1,000 tonnes compared to 5,800 tonnes in the previous year.
In June 2022, Ukraine exported 2.17 million tonnes of grain, legumes, oilseeds and their processed products, which is 470,000 tonnes, or 25% more than in the previous month.
Foreign exchange earnings from the export of products of the Ukrainian agro-industrial sector from March to May – for three months of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation – are approximately equal to the value of exports for one pre-war month.
