Two children and 11 adults who were killed in Vinnytsia remain unidentified

The bodies of two children and 11 adults killed in a rocket attack in Vinnytsia are yet to be identified. Another 18 people are missing, with relatives continuing to search for them.

Vinnytsia Oblast Military Administration head Serhii Borzov said:

"This is a day of mourning... A day of terrible pain and grief...

23 people are dead, three of them children… Among them is Liza, a 4-year-old known as "sunny Liza" … The bodies of two other children have not yet been identified…Likewise 11 adults remain unidentified…

Liza's mother is alive and has been operated on, but her condition remains serious.

73 victims are in hospital. 18 remain missing…"

Details: Borzov has expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported earlier that three children were killed and four minors were injured as a result of a rocket attack on the centre of Vinnytsia on 14 July.

As of 09:00, rescue operations and debris removal continue, involving 437 people and 66 pieces of machinery.

Background: On the morning of 14 July, Russian forces fired rockets at the centre of Vinnytsia. By evening, the number of casualties stood at 23, with 64 people in hospital, 5 of which are in a critical condition.

A 4-year-old girl, Liza, is among those killed. Her mother was taken to an intensive care unit. Liza had Down’s syndrome, and she took part in a Christmas video with First Lady Olena Zelenska in 2021.
