Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, has said that he expects good news after a conversation with Christine Lambrecht, Germany’s Federal Minister of Defence, regarding the supply of weapons.

The Minister wrote about this on his Twitter account, writes European Pravda.

"We discussed the provision of weapons by Germany to Ukraine, which will strengthen our defence capabilities. We thank our German partners for their steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine. We are waiting for good news soon," the Minister wrote.

Background: The German government previously published a list of weapons being prepared for transfer to Ukraine – it includes, in particular, 30 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, IRIS-T SLM air defence systems and M113 armoured personnel carriers.

Earlier, Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor, confirmed Berlin's commitment to supply Ukraine with modern weapons. But the government noted that, due to organisational reasons and security problems, it is difficult to talk about the schedule for the delivery of weapons to Ukraine.
