Ukrainian fighters repel Russian assaults on several front lines - General Staff report

The Ukrainian military has successfully repelled several assaults by the army of the Russian Federation near Dementiivka in Kharkiv Oblast and stopped the attempt of Russian troops to advance in the direction of Bakhmut.

Details: In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops carried out artillery shelling of the city of Kharkiv and the settlements of Sosnivka, Stara Hnylytsia, Ukrainka, Zamulivka, Petrivka, Cherkassky Tyshki, Korobochkine, Prudyanka, Chornoglazivka, Kutuzivka, Stary Saltiv, Nove, Bayrak, Dementiivka, and Zolochiv.
The occupiers tried to dislodge the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Dementiivka district, but Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled several assaults on the village and forced the Russians to retreat.
In the Slovyansk direction, Russian forces shelled the areas of the settlements of Dibrovne, Mazanivka, Adamivka, Barvinkove, Husarivka, Velyka Komyshuvaha, Nova Dmytrivka, Khrestishche, Nikopol, Suligivka and Kostyantynivka.
Russian units conducted assaults to improve their tactical positions near Krasnopill, Dovgenki, Mazanivka, and Ivanovka. Ukrainian soldiers skillfully defended themselves, inflicted significant losses on the occupiers, and forced them to flee. With the same result, a Russian reconnaissance attempt ended with a battle near the Valley.
Russia did not conduct active operations in the Kramatorsk direction. Russian troops fired at Ukrainian positions near Mayaki, Raigorodka, Kryvya Luka, Verkhnokamyansky, and Pryshyb. Russian forces also carried out airstrikes near Serebryanka and Spirne.
In the direction of Bakhmut, artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Berestovo, Soledar, Vershina, Novoluhanske, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka, Mayorsk, with airstrikes near Berestovo, Bilogorivka, Vershina and Yakovlivka.
When trying to advance in the direction of Spirne - Ivano-Daryivka, Russia suffered losses coming under fire from Ukrainian defenders and retreated chaotically, the report of the General Staff notes.
In the Avdiyiv, Kurakhiv, Novopavliv, and Zaporizhzhya directions, Russian forces – with the aim of restraining the actions of Ukrainian troops – continue shelling Ukrainian positions from the available ground weapons along the entire line of contact. Russian aircraft carried out a strike near Novoandriivka.
In the South Buh direction, the main efforts of the Russian Federation are concentrated on holding the occupied lines. They are using air reconnaissance. The areas of the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Nova Zorya, Osokorivka, Velyka Kostromka, Murakhivka, Lyubomirivka, Polyana, Partizanske, Blagodatne, Kalynivka, Ternivka and Prybuzke were shelled with barrel artillery.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, there is an intensification of reconnaissance in order to clarify the positions and nature of the activities of Ukrainian troops – the areas bordering the Republic of Belarus are not excluded.
Russia continues to hold units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Siversky direction in order to demonstrate their presence and restrain the actions of units of the Defence Forces in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk oblasts. Russian artillery shelled the settlements of Starykove and Nova Sloboda of the Sumy Region and Mykolaivka and Karpovychi of Chernihiv Oblast. In the same direction, Russia is actively using UAVs and means of radio-electronic warfare.
A Russian naval grouping continues to block civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. In preparation for launching missile strikes on targets on the territory of Ukraine, Russia maintains six carriers of high-precision weapons.
