On the night of 9-10 July, there were explosions that led to fires breaking out in occupied Alchevsk in Luhansk Oblast and Shakhtarsk in Donetsk Oblast.

According to reports, the explosions in Alchevsk apparently occurred on the site of a former brewery; there was a detonation.
A representative of the so-called "LPR" claimed that Ukrainian troops fired on Alchevsk at 01:10 on Sunday, firing 4 rockets from an American HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system.
People have written on social media that the explosions in Shakhtarsk began at around 4 in the morning and went on for an hour. A fire broke out in a huge warehouse. It is likely that ammunition had been detonated.
On 8 July, there were explosions in Shakhtarsk.
On 9 July, there were explosions at an ammunition depot in occupied Khartsyzk (Donetsk Oblast).
