EUROPEAN PRAVDA – FRIDAY, 1 JULY 2022, 18:11
The Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar addressed the Turkish authorities with a request to take measures against a vessel sailing under the flag of the Russian Federation, which arrived with cargo from occupied Berdiansk.
The ambassador wrote about it on his Facebook page, "European Pravda" writes.
"The ship Zhibek Zholy from occupied Berdiansk has entered the port of Karasu. Based on the letter from the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, an appeal has been made to the Turkish side to take urgent measures," Bodnar wrote.
"We have good communication and close cooperation with the authorities of the Republic of Turkey. I am convinced that the decisions taken will prevent attempts to violate Ukraine's sovereignty," the ambassador added.
Earlier, Yevhen Balytskyi, Head of the so-called "temporary administration of Zaporizhzhia Oblast'' appointed by the occupiers, said that the ship had taken 7,000 tons of Ukrainian grain stolen by the Russians from Berdiansk.
The dry cargo ship "Zhibek Zholy" was built in Russia by order of the Kazakh company KTZ Express Shipping, but it sails under the flag of the Russian Federation.
It should be recalled that Greece has declared its readiness to offer its ships for the export of Ukrainian grain, blocked by Russia, by sea.
