Details: The first task of the project is to buy 200 Scout Drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as collect thousands of the simplest drones.
People from all over the world will be able to donate funds or give away their own drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via a landing page on the United24 site.
You can send your drone to the project partners' warehouse — The Help Ukraine Center in Poland or to the hub in the USA. From there, it will be delivered to Ukraine. Ukrainians will also be able to send a parcel through any branch of [postal service company] Nova Poshta. You will need to say the code words "delivery for the armed forces of Ukraine to the ‘army of drones’" and the operator will independently arrange the shipment.
The project's priority is 200 professional tactical-level unmanned aerial systems for aerial reconnaissance. Such drones can fly for up to 24 hours at a distance of up to 160 kilometres and at an altitude of up to 5 kilometres. They are equipped with several cameras with a thermal imager, position sensors and software and, most importantly, they are difficult to notice and therefore difficult to shoot down.
Quadrocopters with the following parameters are sought:
- battery capacity of at least 5000 mAh;
- flight range from 1 km;
- a camera with a resolution of at least 20 MP;
- charging time of at least 30 minutes;
- photo parameters – no less than 5280x3956, video parameters – no less than 3840x2160;
- preferably with a joystick and remote control.
