Quote from Kyrylenko: "The situation in Donetsk Oblast remains consistently tense. The front line is under constant fire.
Just now [around 19:15 on 8 June - ed.], there has been a shelling in the Kurakhove amalgamated territorial hromada [community - ed.]. There was shelling in Bakhmut and a missile strike on the city, too; a school has been destroyed. Five people have been wounded and four killed."
Details: Kyrylenko called on the residents of Donetsk Oblast to evacuate in order to enable the Armed Forces of Ukraine to more effectively construct defence positions in the oblast in preparation for the Russian assault.
Kyrylenko said that the epidemiological situation in Mariupol is currently catastrophic due to the extensive damage to the water mains, sewage, and water supply.
Earlier: On the night of 7–8 June, Russian troops fired on the cities, towns, and villages of Donetsk Oblast – including Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Ocheretyno, Lastochkino, and New-York – with small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, rockets, and Grad MLRS.
