General Staff: Russian forces prepare to continue assault on Sloviansk

Russian occupation forces are focusing their efforts on preparations to continue their assault on the city of Sloviansk. They continue to shell Ukraine’s military and civilian infrastructure.

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are being transferred to their permanent locations.
On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces have intensified the security of the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Bryansk and Kursk oblasts of Russia. They have fired from mortars on civilian infrastructure in the area around Khodyne, Ryzhivka, and Velyka Pysativka in Sumy Oblast of Ukraine.
In addition, Russian military aircraft flew over the skies along the Ukrainian state border in an attempt to stage a provocation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces have focused their efforts on maintaining their previously occupied positions. Russian troops have shelled Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure around the areas of Udy, Pytomnyk, Rtyshchivka, Ivanivka, Husarivka, and other towns and villages.
On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russian occupation forces have shelled civilian infrastructure in and around Pryvillia, Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Voronove, Toshkivka, and Hirske, among others.
On the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian troops have successfully repulsed the Russian troops’ attempts to improve their tactical positions in relation to the city of Sloviansk. Russian occupation troops are focusing their efforts on preparing to continue their assault on Sloviansk.
They have shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas around Vilne, Adamivka, Dolyna, and Tetianivka and have conducted an airstrike on Sloviansk.
Ukrainian troops are conducting defence operations in the area around the town of Dovhenke.
On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces have opened artillery fire on the towns and villages of Komyshuvakha, Vrubivka, Mykolaivka, Semyhiria, and New-York. Russian assault and army aircraft have conducted airstrikes near Nova Kamianka, Pokrovske, and Klynove.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have inflicted significant personnel and equipment losses on the Russian occupiers during the Russian attempt to conduct assault operations near Berestove. Fighting is continuing there.
On the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivske, and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian occupation forces have shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas near Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Vuhledar, Mykilske, and other towns and villages. Russia has deployed assault aircraft near Mariinka and Kamianka.
The situation on the Pivdennyi Buh front has not changed significantly. Russian troops are trying to maintain their previously occupied positions and to prevent the regrouping and reinforcement of units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Russian troops have opened artillery fire in the area around Velyka Kostromka, Liubomyrivka, and Novomykolaivka and have deployed assault and army aircraft to conduct airstrikes near Oleksandrivka, Kniazivka, and Novodanylivka.
Russian occupation forces continue to implement administrative and police measures designed to control the Ukrainian population in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including the searches of civilians; they also continue to loot and destroy local civilian infrastructure.
