Intelligence Service chief Budanov visits Sievierodonetsk

General Kirill Budanov has inspected the work of Chief Intelligence Directorate units operating in Sievierodonetsk.

Details: Budanov reportedly familiarised himself with the operational situation in this section of the front and determined further actions to be taken by the units of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
The Chief Intelligence Directorate also notes that Sievierodonetsk – where Ukrainian defenders are destroying Russian forces in heavy fighting – is currently a "hotspot" of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
In some areas, the Russians have a tenfold advantage in terms of artillery. Despite this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are pushing the occupiers out of the city.
Background: On 5 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the frontline positions of the Ukrainian military in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and then also in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
