Body of another resident killed by occupiers found in Kyiv Region

Near the village of Vyshehrad, Bucha district, Kyiv region, police have found the body of a civilian shot by the occupiers.

Quote: "The other day, a man's body was found in a forest near the village of Vyshehrad, where the Russian army was stationed. According to preliminary data, the aggressors shot a civilian in the head with a firearm."
Quote by Kyiv Region Police Chief Andrii Niebytov: "Police found that a 41-year-old Volyn resident came to work as a builder in the village of Kolonshchyna near Makariv last year. He disappeared during the occupation in the area where the occupying forces were based.
Details: Police, investigators and forensic scientists examined the body and sent it for forensic examination, which will determine the final cause of death. In the future, the body of the deceased will be handed over to relatives for burial.
Background:
- In early April, the Defence Forces of Ukraine liberated Kyiv Oblast from the Russian occupiers. At the same time, the facts of numerous atrocities by Russians began to be revealed.
- Mayor of Bucha Anatolii Fedoruk said at the time that there were mass graves in the city where nearly 300 people were buried, and dozens of corpses were lying in the streets, some with their hands tied.
- The bodies of civilians tortured by the Russians were found in all settlements of Kyiv region which had been temporarily occupied by the occupiers.
- As of 3 June, the bodies of 1,314 residents killed by the Russian occupiers had been found in the Kyiv region.
- Investigators have not yet identified more than 200 civilians killed by Russians in the Kyiv region.
