The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada [Ukrainian Parliament], Ruslan Stefanchuk, criticised the statements of the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér and Budapest's position on Ukraine in general.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page, according to reports by "European Pravda".

"Regarding the statement of the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér: the entire democratic world is watching with surprise and disbelief, not at the statements of President Zelenskyy but at Hungary’s position, which persistently drags Ukraine through the mud and whitewashes Russia. Unlike the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, we in Ukraine, including Transcarpathian Hungarians, are confident that Ukraine will win and will be rebuilt soon enough," Stefanchuk wrote.

He said that Hungary needs to stop living with the problems of the past and stooping to personal grievances, and listen to what Transcarpathian Hungarians are asking for today. And this is a weapon that they can use to protect their homes from the Russian horde.

"And there is no need to speculate that these weapons will be used against them, hiding thier reluctance to help – such statements are cynical, shameful, irresponsible and only play into the hands of the Russian aggressor," the Speaker stressed.

We remind you that the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér, has expressed his opinion about the "mental problems" of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, due to the fact that he resolutely and sometimes harshly asks partners for support.

The President's Office responded to Kövér’s insults with proverbs and called to mind the Koriukivka massacre [the mass murder by the SS forces of Nazi Germany of 6,700 residents of Koriukivka (then a village) in Ukraine on 1–2 March 1943].

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that it expects the publication of László Kövér's certificate of his mental health status.
