Quote: "There are civilian casualties. Yesterday morning, a woman was killed in her home in Lysychansk during Russian shelling. On the same day, two men sustained injuries there; they were given first aid and hospitalised.
We have undertaken an enormous effort to successfully evacuate three residents of the [Luhansk - ed.] Oblast to another region. Under the current circumstances, even such small successes are extremely important.
The situation in the Oblast remains very tense. On 4 June, the Russians fired on Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Ustynivka, Vrubivka, and Toshkivka from artillery and multiple launch rocket systems [MLRS - ed.].
[Russian] Ka-52 helicopters conducted airstrikes on Hirske and Myrna Dolyna, Su-25 planes attacked Ustynivka. Tochka-U missiles were launched on Lysychansk."
[Tochka-U is a surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile; in Ukrainian, the term Tochka-U also refers to the operational-tactical missile system used to launch the missiles - ed.]
Details: According to Haidai, 13 residential buildings were damaged in Hirske.
Five residential buildings, as well as a post office and a police department, were damaged in Lysychansk.
In Sievierodonetsk, Russian artillery shelling has damaged the premises of a (control and measurement devices and automated equipment) workshop at the Azov chemical plant.
Information about other cities and towns of Luhansk Oblast is still being confirmed.
"Currently, artillery-supported Russian troops are continuing to storm Sievierodonetsk and are controlling the eastern part of the city. In addition, the enemy is trying to advance in the direction of Nyrkove – Mykolaivka," Haidai said on the morning of 5 June.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled 5 Russian attacks and destroyed 3 Russian tanks, 4 artillery systems, 11 armoured combat vehicles, and 26 motor vehicles. Ukrainian Air Defence Forces shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and 2 Orlan-10 UAVs.
