Russian authorities have claimed that, "as a gesture of good will," Russian military forces had allegedly "completed their mission on the Zmiinyi (Snake) Island" and have withdrawn the garrison stationed there.
Source: Russian information agency TASS referring to the Ministry of Defence of Russia
Details: Russians claim that this allegedly "will not allow Kyiv to speculate on the impossibility of exporting grain."
Background: Russians used the same term of "a gesture of good will" when they were fleeing from Kyiv and Chernihiv Oblasts after their defeat.
Reminder: The "Pivden" Operational Command has stated that the Russian army had hurriedly evacuated the remaining personnel of the garrison from the Zmiinyi (Snake) Island after the Ukrainian forces launched attacks on it.
