Quote from the Security Service of Ukraine: "The Kh-22 missiles were launched from Tu-22M3 bombers that took off from the Shaykovka airbase in Kaluga Oblast of the Russian Federation. The missiles themselves were fired in the airspace of Kursk Oblast."
Details: The security forces released a video of the moment of the impact, which clearly shows that the occupiers hit the shopping centre, where there were many visitors.
The Security Service of Ukraine also compared satellite images of the city before and after the shelling, which disprove the fabrications of Russian propaganda about an alleged disused shopping centre.
The Security Service of Ukraine also showed a video of the shelling of a plant – on which it can be seen that there were no warehouses with military equipment there; the plant produced asphalt mixing plants. Ivan Bakanov, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, said that "the Russian army is a gathering of terrorists who will surely be punished for their crimes."
Currently, law enforcement officers continue to carefully document all evidence of crimes committed by the Russian Federation.
What happened before: On 29 June, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he does not consider the Russian missile hitting the Amstor shopping centre, where more than 20 people died, to be a terrorist act. Putin continues to lie that the Russian army does not fire at civilian objects, and that Russian "high-precision weapons" reach their targets.
Background:
- On 27 June, the Russians launched a missile strike on the "Amstor" shopping centre in Kremenchuk, as a result of which at least 20 people were killed, and 59 people were injured. The second rocket damaged the building of JSC Kredmash, which produced spare parts for civilian vehicles.
- Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, said that the attack on Kremenchuk was carried out by an Kh-22 missile fired from a Tu-22M3 bomber from Kursk.
- In Russia, it was initially reported that they struck "hangars with weapons and ammunition received from the United States and European countries."
- Then the Russian Federation called the shopping centre "disused", "staging", and the video of the first minutes after the shelling and the screams of bloodied civilians - "fake".
- The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has already identified the names of the Russian pilots who launched missiles at the shopping centre in Kremenchuk.
Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova is convinced that the missile strike on the "Amstor" shopping centre can be considered a crime against humanity by the UN International Criminal Court.
