Quote from Haidai: "The Russian army is currently continuing to advance towards Vovchoiarivka – Verkhniokamianka in an attempt to encircle Lysychansk.
Zolotarivka, Vovchoiarivka, and Lysychansk came under Russian fire.
Yesterday the enemy also launched an attack towards Spirne, which is located right at the administrative border between Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, and near Verkhniokamianka – but they were forced to retreat."
Details: Haidai added that "the situation in Lysychansk currently resembles what happened in Sievierodonetsk just over a month ago, at the beginning of the storming of the city, when building after building were being captured."
During the morning broadcast, the head of the Oblast Military Administration also said that the situation in Lysychansk is extremely difficult because "there are battles everywhere, everywhere the enemy is trying to break through the defence line of our defenders – given that they are not successful, they shell everything constantly."
Haidai said the Russians are using all the weapons they have and wiping out populated areas, seizing territory.
"Almost two battalion-tactical groups of heavy equipment alone have been deployed to Lysychansk," but Ukrainian fighters are holding the defensive line and inflicting losses on the enemy, he added.
