Hackers broke into the website of the Russian state registration agency Rosreyestr and offered their congratulations on Ukraine’s Constitution Day.

They posted greetings on the occasion of the Ukrainian holiday on the website’s homepage, mentioning the Russian Federation’s war against Ukrainians.

The aggressor state’s Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreyestr) reported the breach.

"Today Ukraine would have been celebrating a holiday, but because of us [Ukrainians are facing] only pain and suffering," the Rosreyestr website declared after the hackers had intervened.

The site also featured the symbols of the "Freedom of Russia" Legion, which consists of Russians who have joined the Ukrainian army.

"Russian citizens are in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence and their own national-oriented legislative foundation," the Russian hackers wrote.

However, they call the war a "special operation" and state that it was unleashed by Russia's leadership.

The website is currently down.
